The Bus Stop began when brothers-in-law, Jay Thornhill and Chef Charles vonAspern decided to utilize their many years of restaurant experience to work for themselves. In 2013, they purchased a used truck from Houston with the help of their relations and backers, Stan and Cathy Thornhill. With many repairs, re-equipping and hard work, by April of 2014, they were on the road.

When the opportunity arose to open a full service restaurant, the family pulled together again and The Bus Stop Bistro was born.  The restaurant continues to serve the same fare of burgers and fries that have been a hit with the food truck and expanded the menu to include appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts, in addition to a full service bar.

The Bus Stop Bistro's approach is to provide fresh food, sourced as local as possible in a fun, clean, family oriented environment. Their signature sauces and dressings created by Chef Charles are one of a kind. The service provided by Jay will provide you with a personal experience that will make you feel at home.
